Blackberry Apps vs iPhone Apps: Which are Better?
Before the iPhone, the Blackberry was the king of the cell phone world. The Blackberry was the highest rated cell phone. It was perfect for both business users and everyday users. Then the iPhone came along, and many Blackberry users switched to the iPhone. It can be difficult to decide who made the best choice, especially since both offer a wide variety of application. So which has the better apps, the iPhone or the Blackberry?
The Main Differences between the Apps
The biggest difference between Blackberry and iPhone apps is the cost. The iPhone offers thousands of applications for free. Other applications are often around $1.99 each. You may find an app as high as $9.99, but that’s not common. Blackberry does offer some free apps, but they are nothing that will be used often. The average price of a Blackberry app is around $5.99, with some apps as high as $100!
The Blackberry is perfect for business users with its many office applications. The iPhone has some email functions, but having a Blackberry is like carrying around a portable office. Blackberry has organization apps, word processing apps, scheduling apps, spreadsheet apps and other useful business apps.
Is There Really an App for That?
The iPhone is the phone to have if you want a lot of social apps. There are many ways to keep in touch with your family and friends with iPhone. You may opt to use Facebook, Skype, Twitter, or Viber; and those are only a handful of the more well-known examples.
There is an enormous amount of other apps available for the iPhone as well. The Blackberry has a Facebook app, but that’s about it when it comes to social networking. If you aren’t looking for a phone to do daily business on, then you might prefer an iPhone over a Blackberry.
The iPhone has many useful apps. When you’re hungry you can use the app called Around Me to find the closest restaurant. If you want to work out and keep track of your workouts, the iPhone has an app called iFitness. iFitness has been rated as being better than a real life personal trainer, plus it’s a lot cheaper and it doesn’t care how long it’s been since you last exercised..
The selection of Blackberry apps is limited. Not just that, but the number of apps that are available for Blackberry are pathetic in comparison. The Blackberry has simple apps that most people won’t use on a regular basis. The iPhone has both useful and fun apps available for users of all ages.
It is easy to see that when comparing which phone is better based on applications, the iPhone is the clear winner. Obviously, each person will have different needs and expectations, but the iPhone is more user-friendly and provides more for your investment.
