Microsoft unveiled new logo

To prepare the release of Windows 8, Windows Phone 8, Xbox services and next version of Office, Microsoft has just unveiled a new logo for the company.
The new logo represents a new era for Microsoft. It is not only a re-imagining of Microsoft most popular products but the logo evolves to visually accentuate this new beginning, as stated in the TechNet Blogs:
The Microsoft brand is about much more than logos or product names. We are lucky to play a role in the lives of more than a billion people every day. The ways people experience our products are our most important “brand impressions”. That’s why the new Microsoft logo takes its inspiration from our product design principles while drawing upon the heritage of our brand values, fonts and colors.
The logo divided in two components: the symbol and the logotype. The symbol which is composed by four coloured squares (red, green, orange, and blue) are intended to express a world of digital motion of the company’s diverse portfolio of products. The logotype which is using the Segoe font is the same font that Microsoft uses in their products.
Starting today, Microsoft will use the new logo prominently in their official website, Microsoft Store, and their products over the next few months.
