Oracle today introduced Oracle Documaker 11.5, the latest version of the company’s market-leading solution for insurance document automation featuring more than 90 customer- and market-driven enhancements.

A key new feature of Oracle Documaker 11.5 – a plug-in for Microsoft Word for authoring – enables business users to easily create content using familiar software, while the IT department can still leverage the power of the Documaker Studio design tool to maintain these documents. With this capability, insurers can realize improved productivity and the ability to quickly change or edit communications as business needs change.

An adaptive, rules-driven system, Oracle Documaker can be easily configured to meet the needs of insurers as the business dictates. For example, business users can easily change document language in order to meet new compliance regulations, or quickly produce rich communications to support a new product, such as policy documents or sales and marketing materials.

Further simplifying enterprise project portfolio management, Oracle today announced the launch of Oracle’s Primavera Inspire for SAP 7.0 for enhanced integration between Oracle’s Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management and SAP enterprise resource planning (ERP) project-related modules.

Oracle’s Primavera Inspire for SAP 7.0 enables executives and project managers to achieve measurable ROI by aligning material, resource, schedule and financial information between SAP’s Materials Management, Project System and Plant Maintenance modules and Oracle’s Primavera P6.

I followed the tutorial written by James F. Koopmann located at http://www.jameskoopmann.com/docs/Install_Oracle11gCentOS5.htm. It is basically the best oracle installation tutorial I found on the internet.
The tutorial just install the software only. For the database creation, we can install later using Database Configuration Assistant (DBCA).
For the x64 platform you need to modify some settings in the /etc/sysctl.conf file and also the memory swap space.
I have 2GB RAM and set the swap memory to 2GB also, but in the installation stage the expected swap space is 3GB.
Here are the parameter of /etc/sysctl.conf file you need to consider:
