Today the Ovi Mail team has just released Ovi Mail 2.0. With this release, your Ovi Mail contacts and Ovi Contacts are merged into one contacts list. You can view, edit, delete or create your contacts from Ovi Contacts or Ovi Mail. You can also sync your device phonebook with Ovi Contacts and Ovi Mail. This was the most desired feature by Ovi Mail users and we are excited to bring this to you.

Call, IM and more on Skype from your Symbian mobile.

On Monday, Feb 15th, 2010 Skype released a new version of its VOIP application for Symbian S60 v3 and v5 phones such as Nokia 5800, Nokia E51, Nokia E63, and Nokia X6. At launch only Nokia phones are supported, Skype will become availabe for other Symbian phone models soon such as Sony Ericsson and Samsung. The Nokia N900 has just received a new firmware update taking it up to v3.2010.02-8 (PR 1.1.1).

Nokia reported a third-quarter loss of €559 million (US$833 million) that it blamed on charges related to its Nokia Siemens business. Sales of €9.8 billion were down 20 percent compared to last year, the company said on Thursday.The main reason for the loss is a €908 million impairment charge related to Nokia Siemens. It is also paying €29 million restructuring charge related to the infrastructure company, according to Nokia.
