How To Make iPhone / iPad / iPod Touch as an E-Book Reader

Amazon Kindle and Barnes & Noble Nook are the well-known devices as ebook readers. However, do you know that your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch can also be used as an ebook reader? These very popular Apple’s products are able to read .epub file (the standard file format for electronic books) and .pdf file format.

This article will show you how you can make the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch running as an ebook reader. In this tutorial I use my iPod Touch 4th generation with iOS 5.1 for example. It should also work for iPhone and iPad as long as both are running the same iOS version.

1. Install the iBooks app. This app is an amazing way to download and read ebooks. You can download the iBooks app directly from the App Store.

2. Connect your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch to the Mac via USB cable. The iTunes will run automatically. If not, run it manually.

3. Inside the iTunes, click on your device and select the Books tab. Make sure that the Sync Books option is ticked. This option is to make your devices are automatically synced with the iTunes.
