Fedora 21 on my Compaq Presario CQ42

Fedora 21 had been released on 9 Dec 2014 as a game-changer for Fedora Project. It comes with a lot of new features and improvements on the Fedora Cloud, Modular Kernel Packaging for Cloud, Fedora Atomic Host, Fedora server and more.

The cloud is now a top-level deliverable for Fedora 21 which includes images for use in private cloud environment such as Openstack, Amazon’s AMI, or docker.

The Fedora 21 release is the first to offer an “Atomic” host for Fedora, which includes a minimal set of packages and an image composed with rpm-ostree. The Atomic host lets you roll back updates (if necessary) as one atomic unit — making update management much easier.

I just downloaded the Fedora 21 ISO image and installed on my Compaq Presario CQ42 powered by Intel i5 with 4GB of RAM.

Here is the screenshoot.
