Just heard about a new brand tablet, Cordia Tab, an open source tablet device to bring a practical and openly hackable tablet. The tablet is able to run any Linux kernel based operating system such as Cordia HD, MeeGo, Ubuntu, and even Android OS, however it comes with Cordia HD preloaded.
The conceptual of MeeGo Tablet UI has been leaked in pictures below. It looks nice for a tablet with a beauty ‘dark pink’ color. Designed by Jozef Kocur, it brings the idea that you have the basic core OS and the UI on top is very ‘skinnable’ so you can easily customize the UI as you want.
Here is a quick walk through of MeeGo UI demoed on ExoPC Tablet. Many of what you see in the demo may not reflect what the final shipping product will look like due to the fact that is a pre-alpha version.
MeeGo, a Linux-based open source mobile operating system developed by Intel and Nokia, is officially released today. This release is still meant for experienced developers only. There is a warning that flashing the MeeGo will permanently erase your settings and may cause damage to your device.
