Our company has two upstreams for internet access. Assume that the upstreams are ISP1 and ISP2. The router is using Linux running BGP (Quagga) for dynamic routing between the two upstreams. See the image below for the sample of source-based IP routing topology.
One of our customers complained that they did not receive several prefixes from our router / their BGP peer, but they received the prefixes from others (ISP). I had to go to check this routing table in our router.
For those of you who want to use or already used Android 4.4.2 KitKat custom ROM and looking for the Google Apps [GApps] 4.4.2 is now available for download.
I just surprised. It is almost unbelievable that my first generation of Samsung Galaxy Tab GT-P1000 has just received Android 4.4.2 KitKat, thanks to CyanogenMod 11 custom ROM and especially thanks to terenceng who posted the ROM on a forum thread in XDA-Developers forum.
Android 4.4 KitKat comes with a ton of new features that make it interesting to use. One of the new features is the transparent / translucent status bar in Home / LockScreen. Basically there is a thread here that already talks about how to make the status bar transparent with a step-by-step you need to do. The guide is based-on Android 4.4. In Android 4.4.1 you don’t need to follow all the steps.
Just visited the XDA developer website forums and found that a custom ROM for Galaxy Tab P1000 already available. The CyanogenMod 11.0 custom ROM, built and compiled by terenceng, I just downloaded the ROM and flashed to my Galaxy Tab P1000 via CWM Recovery.
UPDATE: There is unofficial release of CyanogenMod 13 which is based-on Android 6.0 Marshmallow available to download. You can follow our tutorial on how to install CyanogenMod 13 on Galaxy Tab P1000.
Quagga is a network routing software available in most GNU/Linux, Solaris, FreeBSD, and NetBSD. It provides the implementation of OSPF (Open Shortest Path First), RIP (Routing Information Protocol), BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) and IS-IS. It is distributed under GNU GPL license.
In a previous article I have shown you how to update Galaxy Tab P1000 to Android 4.3 using CyanogenMod 10.2 custom ROM. One cool stuff that I like is how easy it is to take screenshot on CM 10.2. This is also available on CM 11 (Android 4.4 KitKat)
People say that to take screenshot on Android 4.0 and up, by default, just press and hod the Power button + Volume Down but it doesn’t work on Galaxy Tab P1000.
Glad to hear that my old Samsung Galaxy Tab P1000 (the first Samsung’s Tablet) received CyanogenMod 10.2 nightly build which is based-on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
