Cordia Tab, Open Tablet to cost only $300

Just heard about a new brand tablet, Cordia Tab, an open source tablet device to bring a practical and openly hackable tablet. The tablet is able to run any Linux kernel based operating system such as Cordia HD, MeeGo, Ubuntu, and even Android OS, however it comes with Cordia HD preloaded.

Linux 3.0 Officially Released

Linus Torvalds as the father of Linux operating system announced the release of Linux 3.0 on Thursday, July 21, 2011. The Linux 3.0 comes to bring several new features including Btrfs data scrubbing and automatic defragmentation, XEN Dom0 support, wake on WLAN features and more.

Slackware 13.37 Leet Screenshots

Slackware 13.37 was released on April 27, 2011. It is code-named as 'LEET' and uses the 2.6.37.6 Linux kernel, pre-installed with Firefox 4 browser. For the XWindow application, I would prefer to use XFCE4 rather than use KDE or Gnome because it is far simpler and faster.

In this tutorial I will show you how to console Cisco devices using ATEN UC232A USB to Serial Converter on Linux, I use Slackware 13.1 and using minicom tool.
